Mancomunidad Vigo

The Convent of Vilavella was originally situated outside the urban limits of Redondela, but the growth of the town absorbed it fully. After its confiscation, it lived a long agony. It was then put to a number of uses until it was rehabilitated. It is presently managed by a company which holds banquets, company meetings, and ceremonies.Convent of nuns that was occupied for the first time by the Justinian nuns, once the building was finished during the middle of the 16th century. Its structure has been built as a central structure and a tower with battlements. The church has just the one nave.

A set of buildings that comprise the church and convent where there is a contrast of its external simplicity, made from granite stone masonry with the beautiful interior ornamentation, especially in the church, which manifests a plateresque style of the time, with acanthus leaves as the decorative element.
